Today is McHappy Day! McHappy Days celebrates 30 years of fundraising across Canada. The fundraiser has raised over $92.5 million over the past three decades. Funds raised support Ronald McDonald House, which provides accommodations, food and other vital support to parents and families of sick children across Canada.
We are all familiar with Ronald McDonald House. One in four Canadians has received support or knows someone who has. Recently, my nephew and his wife have family staying near their infant son Myles at the Ronald McDonald House in Halifax.
The Ronald McDonald House is an immeasurable gift to families of sick children. Seeing and being seen by our children is important, especially when hospitalized far from home.
I encourage everyone to stop in and enjoy their favourite treat or grab a cup of coffee and purchase a heart. Your support ensures families remain united during one of the most difficult times in their lives.
