Be the woman who fixes another woman's crown,
without telling the world it was crooked.
Today I am hosting my Verge House girlfriends. We have been together for over 23 years. Our relationship began as colleagues and continues as friends. Throughout our careers, we have supported one another's highs and lows. We joined forces with each other strengths to support one another's needs.
Over the years, we have taken different directions and roles to support students, teachers, school staff and public education. However, we always got together to celebrate birthdays and holidays and have lunches together. The photo above shows the celebration after my first breast cancer chemotherapy and radiation treatments.
As women, we all encounter challenges in life. Overcoming these challenges is always easier when you know you have friends who will support you through thick and thin. My mother taught me how important it is to stay connected with girlfriends in good times and bad. She passed on to me the importance of cooking food to drop off with friends who needed nourishment of both body and spirit.
When we gather today, we will share food, but more importantly, we will share friendships. During these cold winter days think about reaching out to your girlfriends and joining them to nourish your body, mind, and soul.
So happy that you have such a beautiful group of friends to help through the difficult times and the good ones as well. Just know sweet cuz, I live so far away but always have you in my heart and I always try and channel good vibes during my yoga towards you my love. I pray everything works out the best that it can. With your positivity in healing, how can it not help. Love you. Dear cuz.😘💕
